Amos Poh
Hi, I’m Amos.
I’m a freelance photographer, videographer, filmmaker, video editor, social media marketer, and programming instructor based in Singapore.
I graduated from Ngee Ann Polytechnic with a Diploma in Chinese Media and Communication, so I have a solid foundation in photography, videography and media-related work. I also hold a Bachelor of Marketing from the University of Wollongong.
With more than 5 years of experience in photography and videography, I’ve covered over 250 events. These include concerts, gala premieres, fan meetings with K-pop artists, as well as corporate award ceremonies.
During my National Service, I served as a photographer in the Singapore Army. Over those 2 years, I covered 126 events, and some of my photos have been featured on The Singapore Army Facebook page.
As a camera operator and video editor, my short film Passion of Lion Dancers won First Prize and the Best Technical Award at the Singapore Heritage Short Film Competition 2014.
Since 2014, I’ve been a video editor for the video content of ICON风华, a magazine under Singapore Press Holdings, and I have edited more than 50 videos so far.
As a programming instructor, I’ve conducted Scratch programming classes in multiple schools for about a year, teaching more than 600 students from Primary 3 to Secondary 3. The courses I have conducted include Scratch (Basic and Advanced), Moway and Arduino.
I believe photography and videography are not just about recording what happens, but also about telling stories that people can feel and connect with. You can rest assured that I always put in my best effort and work towards perfection, because seeing my customers happy with the final result matters a lot to me.
